Week Off

Greetings Everyone,

We have to take an unexpected week off from the show because my day job has stolen me away for a week and Vida is on assignment so that leaves only the producer around. We do not have enough shows stacked up for a 'best of' so we will leave you with the burning anticipation of wanting us back next week. Have a great week!

Now on iTunes!

Howdy Radio Fans,

So we have surpassed the advent of Show One getting online and since we are grass-roots (means we have no money), we are doing everything that we can to get the show out there!

You can now subscribe to Behind The Mike on iTunes. Though we are not actually approved yet on iTunes, we now have a feed for subscribing. I imagine that the feed will work in other subscription services. You can click the link on the sidebar or you can click HERE to suscribe.

Please pass the show link on to friends and family. We received two emails already from family regarding the show and we'd ask that you pass it to friends of yours that we do not know, so we might gain exposure. See ya this weekend with Show Two.

Plenty to Go Around

Howdy Radio Fans,

As we countdown to the debut broadcast, I wanted to get something off my chest. I spend a lot of time at the computer. I work all day at the computer, I am on the computer doing school work most of my nights and while doing all this, I choose to tune in to a variety of different talk shows on the internet. I enjoy them all, some more than other.

So I was listening to a show, not my favorite, but nevertheless, new to me and I do enjoy it. But this is what happened; The hosts found it necessary to jab at another podcast negatively, making the podcast look desperate. I hate that. I don't see any reason to jab at another show for any reason and let me say that this particular show had no reason to jab at the other. How do I know that...because the show that they shit on happens to be at the top of my podcast list and is my favorite show.

I just cannot understand that...there are more than enough listeners out there than to have to trash another show calling them desperate for listeners. Different shows attract certain classes of people and I suppose that my favorite show, The Katie Mac Show, attracts a higher class of listeners.

And First There Was None...

Howdy Radio Fans,

Amazing! Truly Amazing! Before, I was scrambling to find a co-host for the show and then I found one...and now I found two. This is a good thing because it should spice up the show very much.

So I have secured the wonderfully talented Vida for Behind the Mike. Vida is formerly a professional singer with a tremendous voice and she will be joining us right from the first show. She also has some great opinions about everything so watch it when she starts ranting.

We also are working to secure some great interviews from some comedians and bands so things are going very well as we get ready to present the first show. No interviews are currently scheduled for SHOW ONE.

The Show will debut somewhere around mid-July, if not sooner. Please Stay Tuned!

Viva Mexico

Howdy Radio Fans,

What's News? Let me clue you in on the latest development with Behind The Mike. We have just acquired a co-host for yours truly and after searching the entire planet, we went to the one place that George W Bush refuses to recognize as members of the human race....That's right, I went to Mexico!

OK, OK, not literally I didn't go because frankly, I was afraid they would not let me back into the states (I feel your pain, Cat Stevens). However a very good colleague of mine who wishes to be known plain and simply as "X" will be joining me whenever he is not scarfing down tortilla chips and guzzling margaritas.

So please make him feel welcome and keep tuned in because our launch is so close, it's poking me in the ribs...OUCH!

The Wheels Are Turning

Howdy Radio Fans,

Well some exciting news has come up over the past week or so and I want to keep you all informed.

First, the great people at Horror-Asylum have agreed to sponsor a ready-for-me-to-read horror review for each broadcast. Now yours truly has no idea what goodies lie ahead as I am taking no part in what Steve and his crew send my way, I am leaving that up to them. Be sure and stop off at their website and look at all the horror genre goodies waiting for you.

Secondly Derek Miller, who is a very talented musician has given us free copyright to use his original music for the show (theme, etc). I am so beside myself at his generosity and I want to tell the whole world...all three of you! Derek's wonderful music can be heard at Pen Machine. The only thing left that we have to do with this great news is to pick what song will be out intro. So much to do and so little time.

Joey Mike (WHO?!)

Countdown Begins!

Howdy Radio Fans!

Are You Ready? We are just a few short weeks from launching the newest addition to the Internet Talk Radio scene, Behind the Mike with Big 80s Joey Mike (WHO?!).

The excitement is almost more than we can handle as we tyr and put together the outline for SHOW-ONE. But hopefully, you might find something interesting, cruel, vulgar or whatever else your preference is; and get this...you get to send us suggestions for content. Hell, why not, you are the intended listeners, all three of you! So feel free to email the show behindthemikeshowATyahoo.com and replace the AT with @. We just do not want junkmail.

Stay tuned to the blog for updates, show postings and anything else related.
