Understanding The Health Care Bill

Tonight on the program we brought our first of two separate and distinct perspectives regarding the ObamaCare Reform bill. To help us facilitate that, we were joined by Stefani Woolhandler, MD and she is a Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School Cambridge Hospital.

One of the things that Steffie pointed out is that there is a lot of paranoi behind the bill and a lot of that comes from the money and power behind the private health care firms. In fact, she pointed out the fact that the bill was based on a blueprint for national health care written by the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts "private" industry.

What we found out is that there are many issues and loop holes in the bill and Steffie is afraid that by the year 2019, there will still be more than 23 Million Americans without health care. How is this possible?

Steffie is the co-founder of a non-profit organization named, Physicians For A National Health Program. The organization is formed by more than 17,000 physicians, medical students and health professionals who seek a single-payer health system in the United States. Visit them at the link below.
