Show Notes - 08/23/2011

Tonight on the show, we welcomed Dr. Ted Galen Carpenter who is a senior fellow for defense and foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute. Dr. Carpenter discussed the reasons why the United States must resist any type of military role in a post-Gaddafi Libya. The United States cannot afford a long-term financial rebuilding project. He also suggests that when the NATO operation is over, a country that has a closer and more direct interest, such as Italy, France or Spain should handle the after-party (so to speak).

Also, we checked in with details about the East Coast earthquake which happened in the Mineral, VA area 3.7 Miles below ground and was felt from South Carolina to Maine. It was the largest East Coast earthquake since 1944.
